O festival folclórico de Parintins: produção do espaço urbano, a partir das questões sociais e culturais

Abstract

The festivity is a celebration that involves artistic, religious and cultural elements, this integration occurs through a dispute between the bumbás: the Guaranteed Ox (represented by the color red) and the Boi Caprichoso (represented by the color blue), considered as the main elements of the festival. The Parintins Folklore Festival is of great importance, as it is considered the most popular and traditional event in the northern region of Brazil, in addition to boosting the Amazonian culture in a unique way. The bibliographic and documentary research took place through the qualitative method, understanding that there is a relationship between the subject and reality, investigating the historiography of the Parintins Folklore Festival that takes place in it, and the way in which the identity of the people of Parintins is exalted, as well as how to display knowledge about the Amazonian culture and identity, understanding the social phenomena and how the descriptive method is based. The general objective comprises how the Folklore Festival Folklore of Parintins impacts on the production of the urban space of the city studied, the bois-bumbás contribute to the development and visibility of the city studied, the influence of the bumbás is of a main nature because society prepares itself all year round for the festivity to occur in a special and attractive way.
